All channels erased! Help! - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

I erased all my channels and then done a power scan (Countless) but now all i get is channel unavailable! I have no channels whatsoever! And i have know way of gettin them back. Can anyone help me...?

I'll give a bit more info. There was a fault with NTL in my area and so we lost our channels, nothing was comming up so i did a erease all channels and then a power scan but its not picking up any channels and factory default isnt giving me any channels either, it just scans and then says check cable status and then nothing, so im stuck with a screen saying "Channel Unavailable". Can someone please help me???

Try changing your symbol rate there are two main ones, usually tw is 6.952 and ntl is 6.887, to do this go to your powerscan and change it there, theres been alot of changes recently so try out both, see how you get on and post back if still no joy.

This happened to me once, I was going mad then relised cable in my area had gone down. When it did come back up was like you I changed so much could not get a thing, I then tried all the provider areas in options and done a power scan on each and then woot it found channels. So I guess you need to choose the closest area provider to you. Hope this makes sense - can't remember under which menus and can't check at mo cos my wife is hogging the remote.

. Meanfrog what do you mean, i dont understand? Could u elaborate a bit more please. Anyway i done a restore factory default on gatewick, Im from glasgow and edinburugh never workd and i got nine channels. Toonami, god channel, bb3,bb4, itv3,it2 and 2 others. Still not what i had before.

I have a starview cabel box and it seems thatwhen i do a power scan with both tw and ntl it gives me all channels but it comes up with green dollar signs next to the channels, the channels that these symbols appear next to I am unable to view can anyone help me with this matter
