hi
i havent had any experience with the boxes in ireland but as u know it is now virgin that has the network here an i have had no probs recanning ,think u have just got ti try it man an see how it goes

i can anyone help me with my starview box? as soon as i attach my cable to the box my box display reverts to a single number and then switches itself off and it only gives me audio no picture. please help tried everything from factory reset to downloading new firmware to no avail

are you sure you are getting a proper signal coming in from your coax???

have you connected the starview to your tv using a scart cable??

also have you selected the correct service provider for your area in the the set-up of the box???

yes i am connected via a scart lead and have no problems with the coax everything works fine until i connect my box to the cable coax and then all i get is audio and my box freezes with the display showing a single number of 0 the switches itself off. box is fine until connected to cable. i am in the virgin media area

hmmmm....not sure ..... I heard some people are selling these starview boxes in China but not installing the software on them....

not sure what else to say that could resolve your problem??? maybe try flashing the firmware again and seeing if that makes a difference...
