Default Silly Cable Question

I used to know the answer to this, but I can't remember it for the life of me right now!

What type of cable do you need to hook your laptop up to your television, so you can watch a video you have saved on it? I can't believe I can't remember what it is! Figures I forget right one when of my friends asks me about it.

Hey, I didn't even know that you could do that! I would like to know the answer to that question too.

This all depends on the feed you have from your laptop does it have a SVideo or TV out? Or is it just a VGA out ?

Also your TV will require a compatable input.

you can buy a VGA to scart for about £30

Fourbear, if you are not sure about the inputs, and your owner's manual is no help, take the laptop into a computer store. Most will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I'm pretty sure both my laptop and tv have either svideo and/or VGA in/out. My laptop definitely has svideo, so it's just the tv that I have to check up on.

Hi FourBear

You can def put PC to TV, you just need to plug into the scart, with the right lead.

(add a W)ww.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/PCTOTV3.html

something like this.
