Hi

is it possible for me take the software off a pace 4010, and put it onto another pace 4010. If so how??????

Yes, but you would have to lift and read the Atmel(s). Are you trying to update a CR1/CR3 box to 3.7?

you can just copy the atmel(s) is a 4010 i think there can be one or two depending on its platform

That would only copy the bootloader & IRD/BK.

The platform is in the Toshiba TC58V64BFT or Samsung compatible part. Package it PSOP aka TSOP-II 44.

If it's the same box then it will have identical information on (bar the BK and IRD) won't it?

The platform could be different if no update mod has been performed.

There would be no point in cloning the STMicro (not Atmel!) for the BK/IRD as this is easier to obtain using JTAG.

Ok, but I presume this guy wishes to swap chips because his other box is running old CR1/CR3 software which as you probably know, cannot be updated to 3.7 using the usual update methods.

Then he needs to reverse the no update mod, or reprogram the TSOP-II 44 as I posted.

The STMicro TSOP48 will not help with this.

if a pace and can jtag ect

use ocd commander etc and pull it of as a flash
