Dreambox DM500 and S*Y

Hi, everyone i was in a jump to buy a dreambox and hook it up to my exisiting sly dish in order to receive. For me to do this what do i need to do, flash the box? or any setup that is required? Im new to SAT's guys.

you can flash it with any image to 500s
stay away from gemini though as they can brick clone boxs

btw doing this will only allow you view freesat no premium channel are open on 28 east

TO view these chanels you need a valid subsctipion or use another method
which isnt cool to talk about here

Hi mate, you need to find dreamup, it is used to flash the 500s, you will need a nulmodem cable, to connect your computer to the box. You will then need to download an image, as you have been advised do not use the gemini image. Then you need to flash the image to the box using the dreamup software. After you have done that you will need an EMU and I would advis you to look for DCC,(dreambox control centre), you will need it, or some other FTP software to send the EMU to the box, I would advise you to use the Pli image and the cccam EMU as they seem to work well with the Sly card.
