Default Missing channels??!?!

Hello, I know a lot of people have had alot of problems with dissapearing channels. I have Sky movies 5-9 missing and Sky sports 3 (possibly other channels as well).

Just wondering if anyone has actually found any answers for this? I've read a few threads with the same problems but no real answers, thought a nice clean thread with suggestions on how the problem could be solved would be nice.

I have a Eurovox 2 box by the way.

Cheers people, have a nice day!

Welcome,

What area are you in? and who is your provider?

Ayrshire area with wightcable still not resolved, although I have heard that the starviews in the area are now working.

sorry mate, can't help you out there, there may be other in the same area that may be able to help you out, we in ayrshire seem to be having a different problem to most others.

But I have read that some of the people are getting their channels back after doing rescans or by changing the frequency of the channel by 0.5 is enough to bring them back.

Or you could try switching the emulater off and on again see if that kicks it back.

I tried rescanning today but nothing... At first i lost all my channels, then I worked out how to get them back but I still didn't get Sky Movies 5-9 and Sky Sports 3, just thought it was out for everyone.

I'll try the emulator thing, could you tell me how to check that please?

PRESS MENU

go to preferences and then to language settings press ok

PRESS 1968

once there two more menu opitions will appear at the bottom of the list, disable the emulation then save and exit, go back in and enable it again then exit back out, might not work but worth a try.

Hopefully some of the other good techie people on here that knows more than I do will be able to help you out better.

Nah didn't work mate, but thanks for trying, hopefully I can sort this out eventually!

Do I have to update my firmware? Which firmware do I need? What does it do? Is there a risk from using it? Will it stay on my box forever?

It depends when you got you box, the latest firmware that I know of was in october, eurovox_max_all_chipset_201006.bin, you can overwrite the firmware,
you could also check to see if someone has put up a cfd dump for you area and see if that would help, to do both these you will need a null modem cable.

So the eurovox_max_all_chipset_201006.bin will work on the eurovox 2 box? I got my box over 1 and half years ago and have never updated anything. Never thought it would make a difference since all my channels worked before (besides front row), is it worth doing it?

would be better to check if it worked with the eurovox 2, I was thinking it was the max you had sorry, have a look and see what others say as to wether it will work or not.
