Either I reckon. I can see all files for Evox 1 and 2 on Bigmaq now. The fixes only are available from this sites downloads area.

i have either a eurovox 1 or 2 (how do i know which is which?)

i also have a eurovox max remote so what do i do to download the max firmware onto it?

i've tried downloading the max blue f/w onto my eurovox 2 box but it wont allow me to - it says the frimware is not fit for my receiver

Hi - if your box is silver coloured it is a Eurovox 1 or 2. If it has 1 scart socket it is a 1, if 2 scart sockets it is a 2.

I'm uncertain how you have a Max remote that works with it - I can only say that the remote for my Eurovox Max Blue doesn't operate my dad's and mate's Eurovox 2s and vice-versa.

In normal circumstances I'd simply point you to this helpful guide by McPutters which talks 1s and 2s thru it very clearly:

I'd maybe hang-on until you get a better answer on the remote issue - are you certain it is a Max remote?, maybe you can explain why have a 1/2 but a Max remote and another member will take over if heard of this.

See above - Eurovox 2 firmware will not work on a max and vice-versa. Some of the function buttons are different on the remotes for a start! This is why you've got me confused with this max remote operating a 2!!!!!

This was why when I updated the 2s I took the remote for my dad's and my mate's home with me to go do them! LOL - I had a minor panic after flashing my dad's box and it not responding until realised I was pointing my own (Max Blue) remote at it - had just picked-up the wrong one as used to mine!

I agree with jsnaddon on all points including your remote issue - maybe something I not seen before either.

Eurovox 2 remotes have the coloured buttons along the bottom - Eurovox Max Blues remotes have the coloured buttons going vertically from lower right - which is yours? Also - can you press Menu/Config/System Information and tell what the S/W Version says.

Why are you trying to flash the box with the blue firmware? Why are you not using the Eurovox 2 AU fix date 14/4/08?

I've previously tried the latest Blue firmware getting the 'firmware is not fit for receiver' message. I believe it may have done it anyway as my remote stopped working. But using a Max remote is apparently supposed to cure this. So you could try it and see. If not just use the Sunrise's latest EV2 firmware (from BigMaq). EPG works, but I'm not sure your remote will.
