Smile New box cracks N3?

Hi everyone!

I'm in the Leicester area and recently N3 kicked in and we lost most premium channels (I was using Eurovox Max V). Already I've heard talk of someone selling a new cable box capable of overcoming N3, for £250! Having read of lot of threads on N3 here, I'm 99% sure this is rubbish. There's no mention of such a box here either, unless I've missed it, but I just wanted to gauge opinion, if anyone had heard such a rumour, or even purchased one of these boxes?

Thanks very much,

Alicia.

Any chance of a serious answer to a genuine question? This forum is supposed to offer constructive help is it not?

That just depends on whether you have done your homework......there are plenty of posts telling you that there is no fax for nagra 3 or nds (sky encryption) if you do your homework and stop creating new posts about the same subject(s) you would learn your "constructive" answer.

You have even answered it yourself in your opening question. If you cant afford sky or virgin dont have it.

No there is no fix the box what you maybe talking about isnt a fix its regarding card sharing via a dreambox 500s(c) and to say you was using a euromax v i wouldnt go down this path if i was you, this aint a plug and play thing

Hi aliciac

You are right, there is a "new" box out in Dewsbury and Leicester that has managed to overcome the N3... I am not sure which box it is but I have the same information via a good source. Apparently, it requires connection to the www.

Now, the question is do you want to risk your £200-£250 on a new box or are you going to wait until it matures?

Alternatively, and probably a better idea now is to go legitimate

Good luck

Thanks

Cablewala, thanks for your honest and straightforward reply. So it seems that the rumours are true, but that it's expensive, could last only 12 months, requires an Internet connection and from the way others are talking on this forum, beyond the experience level of a novice.

I wasn't looking for any specifics on how to do it, or even how N3 is bypassed, I just wanted someone to confirm or deny the rumours, and you've answered my question directly, so thank you.

I've always had a VM subsciption with two cable boxes and 10MB broadband. N3 just means I've had to upgrade the TV packages, but I'm happy to do that.

All the best,

Alicia.
