Default Noob looking for info before i buy

Evening Chaps,

I am looking to buy a cable TV box but I am quite new to this so was wondering if you wouldn't mind offering a bit of advice.

I am on the cusp of buying either a Dbox or a Kryptview as the reviews I have seen for both are generally good. I am a virgin boradband customer but do not have a phone line or a virgin tv package. My questions are threefold:

1. Is one box better than the other for receiving sky sports? this is the main reason I want the box really.
2. Seeing as I only have a cable for broadband I assume I would have to get a two way splitter so that I can have the connection for bb and one for the box?
3. Is this the only thing I would need to get the box working?

Many thanks in advance for taking the time to read, I am quite the simpleton when it comes to hardware. Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Your IP resolves to Sheffield which I believe is in the process of changing to n3. Congratulations you joust bought a very expensive clock. Hope you didn't pay too much for it. Expect your channels to go off in the next couple of weeks.

Well me and my BIG gob!

I thought I was getting to keep the last dross of the FTA left on me Dbox mentioned in the post above, but today it looks like the MoFo's are even having that off us.

Therefore I concur... it IS an oversized digital clock...Does it have an alarm?
