The story in question is Virgin code update cripples cable boxes

its the update that im confused about

UPDATE: Reports in the Techwatch forums suggest another code update began at 3:30pm today. It looks like Virgin have indeed started to apply daily code changes.

I know some areas have been hit by n3 again today, and I was wondering, is this "update" just n3, or is it n2 thats having code changes?

the news story is two years old! the daily code update it talks about happend twice (possibly only once?) since then.
