Default SAMSUNG 2110C Programming

Hi all,

I've had some info from another site on what software I need to programme funcards etc and what reader to use and have been told that i am ment to use a programme called nagra edit to programme it.

This seems to be correct from what I have read.

I have done some more reading and have found that if i make my own jtag reader its possible to connect the 2110c to a pc and read the box information to programme a card to it if it doesnt have a paired one. Can anyone tell me what software is needed to enable the pc to recognise what is connected via the rs232(think thats the conection you use) and to read the relevant data??

can't jtag a 2110c only way to get details is off card.

its the parallel port you use to jtag.

First thing is do some reading about N3 in your area, to see if you can still get a box to work, secondly you cannot jtag or connect this box to a pc to get the information you need to make a card, the 2110 is a doorstop, unless you have the original card to unloop, then not gauranteed to have the correct data on the card.

so if a box comes in with no card is it not possible to reprogramme any card to it again? I had been told by someone that some people remove a particular chip and fit a new blank one and re pair that to a card...??????

Any one heard of this??

Also what software allows you to "unloop" a card is that the nagra edit??

Also does anyone know how to cut the call back on the box's??

You are going into depths of changing chips on boxes, you need a willams programmer, lost of patience and skills with a soldering iron. By the the you have learned the skills got it all up and running all modified boxes will be useless, In my opinion all modded boxes will be useless between now and September as Nagra3 is rolled out around the uk. So if you buy all the stuff, learn the skills, it will be a waist of time. Have you checked if your area has not already gone N3 ???????, if it has you are waisting your time anyway.

Cheers for that info mate.

Ok so i'll take on board that info about the chipping...sounds like thats not worth it at all. I was told that it can be done with sky box's too. Is that all rubbish then??

Where can I find out if we have got N3 then?? Will N3 effect people that alread have reprogrammed box's/cards or will it only be from the "change over" date that it cant be done??

A lot of people have said that they can programme a card for me with out seeing the box is this possible?? Do you only need one original card to unloop?? I though that the card had to be paired to the box and that box only.

So N3 is going to effect digital box's etc where do you stand with satellite receivers?? Are there any recievers that are able to recieve all the uk stuff like sky etc but without using a sky box??
