Default Someone Please help before I throw a Rope Up!

Hello everyone

Please help before I throw a rope up!

I know this is st*rv*ew related but its e*rov*x also. Please bare with me

I am in northern ireland and have a st*rvi*w the box super. I had all the channels yesterday except for espn which i lost in the last week.

I tried to do an automatic scan to see if I could get it and I think somehow I reset the box and now I can get nothing?

Whats going on? Have I erased the firmware and if so what one do I now need? I have a CDF I saved from a e*ro*ox so can I simply upload that to the st*rvi*w?

Someone please help. I have used the search function for this kind of thing but to no avail.

I have reloaded the 6.00e firmware dated 4 Feb 2008 but still not getting channels in an automatic scan. This was the firmware lincsat said to use in the sticky section?

When I use the firmware loader to download the CDF saved from my e*ro*ox it says its looking for a .bin file and thats not what the saved CDF is?

Feck im useless, I know! Please help someone. Cheers

Sounds like you could be scanning on the wrong symbol rate. I know hardly anything about Starview boxes but I'm sure someone who is wiser than me could help better. Although if your box needs a *.bin file, then a *.cdf is going to be no use whatsoever. Don't you need to load it onto your box with a USB?

Try doing an automatic scan on BOTH symbol rates and see what happens.

A friend of mine has a Starview and she has to switch her emulatioon on every time she re-scans. Have you done that through the parental control menu?

Have a look here, third post down.

Hope you get it sorted, although with time running out it may be a fruitless task.

Just noticed you asked the same question in the Starview section. Dude, use one or the other, the boards are full enough as it is.

I have tried both symbol rates although I am definitely 6887.

my box is a st*rview 3 I think. The one with a usb is st*rview 4.

Have a look here, post number 1154.

Download the file, change the extension to .cdf and you should be good to go.

Cheers again pal

I have a CDF I saved of my E*rovox although it doesnt work when trying to load it onto the St*rview. The Loader Firmware for the St*rview asks for a .bin file? I dont know what this means?

Have a look in here for the Starview loader. I'm sure, having done a bit of reading, that's what you need to load your files.
