Default Original NTL (Samsung) advice needed please.

Hi all, I've been using a couple of eurovoxes for the past few years so the original NTL box has been in the loft plugged in beside my computer to keep it updating. A couple of months ago I was doing some work up there, unplugged it and forgot all about it.

With the arrival of the new card, I plugged the silver sammy box back in and for the last 3 days it just seems to be on 'stand-by' - red light is on at the front, but nothing on the LCD.

Any ideas where I go from here? Thanks for any help.

If I've missed the 3.7 update does that mean the box is now useless or will need updated by virgin?

Have tried everything to get it off standby, but nothing is working.

Any idea if I can somehow force it on for an update?

Why bother, its a subbed box, just ring them up and tell them its not working, they will replace.

Thanks for the replies - was just a bit unsure about producing a faulty box just as the new cards came out, but looks like it is the only option.

just ring them up tell them not working, a young kid about 18 yr old will come down with a new box swap it, while he is thinking about who he is going tonk tonight after the pub has shut. they are not concerned about , who, why , what , when.
