Mymrs has bought a Samsung Tocca from ebay, its locked on Orange, but when inserting a valid Orange sim, its asking for a sim password?

you can try all the combinations you like but it's very unlikely you'll accidentally hit on the rite one. the phone has had a security code activated by the previous owner. best thing is to fine some one with a NS-PRO box and they can remove the code in a few seconds for a small fee.

be exceptionally careful with these eeprom reset codes. i have stated many times on other forums the reason why.

reason: the use of eeprom reset codes can and does frequently destroy the boot area of the phone wiping the eeprom data and resetting the imei number of the phone back to 0000000000000, rendering it useless.

not all phones will suffer this but i'd dare say 60 percent of phones do.

thats where your full of crap.
if you had read the thread instead of trying to tout a two bit unlocking site, you would have noticed that this is not a sim lock problem but a security code problem. there two different thing entirely.
