DBox 2 Problem Questions After Search

Hey Guys,

New to the place so I'm hoping you can help, I've searched and found similer problems but none of the soloutions help me as I reckon I'm a different situation.

I'm sure its a D-Box2 I have with the Sportsters Image which I got about a year ago ready to go. My supplier is NTL and I'm in the West of Scotland.

My problem is loss of a few channels, like More4 and +1 Channel 5 also needs to be watched on normal tele rather than through the box ect.. and I'm sure theres new channels like Bravo 2 on NTL which I'd like to get.

However is there anyway to gain these channels back/update the box without using the internet? I'm on NTL's basic Broadband so I'm unsure if they could track it if I connected it online or how to even do that. Since I've owned it only the T.V and NTL cable has been connected to it. so anything else is new.

Sorry if this isn't a newish question, just everyone else appears to be running theres from the internet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mate
no chance of the CC traceing your box , you can download the latest sporster or try lincsats image I am sure he will help you if you have problems as lincsat is a mod here ,downloads are in the gmail above ,you just need to know if you have 1 x chip or two x chip reflash box and then rescan it will pick up your missing channels , connecting to a broadband only connection is fine just use a two way F splitter but when scanning do a direct scan not through splitter

You could do a service scan, this will take some time with your old image, make sure you set it to keep existing bouquets. Using a newer image you can set your location and turn on the sectionsd scan (background scan) and it will find new and moved channels in the background while you watch TV.

Cheers for the help so far. I may do some more research into figuring out how to connect my box to the internet to download a new image.

However after posting this last night I found the service scan thing which is great, got me back some old channels that dissappeard got me some new ones like Bravo 2 although I never knew about keeping the existing bouquets
Which now means I'm missing ITV and channel 4 the likes of channel 5 are in channel 3's place, all other channels have changed and when you get into the 200 odd numbers most channels are repeats (other than Bravo 2, PPV events and one other channel) right up to the 500 numbers....pointless!,lol

So yeah, I may look for the wires needed to get a new image and hopefully everthing will be hunky-dory.

Nokia's are all 2x - you can edit your channels from the bouquet editor in the service menu, it's a bit fiddly but at least you could get your ITV1 and C4 back in the low numbers.

Problem is I can't find ITV or C4 without going to teristerial TV,lol

You should find many ITV's in the andre bouquet.
