Funcards

Im new to all this but Im really interested in finding out how it all works and so I have loads of newbie questions that I wont ask just yet. Iv been on GMail and got whatever looks like a guide or tutorial but feel free to post any newbie information cos I really know nothing at this stage.

Basically im gonna get NTL and probably a DBox2 (best choice?) but I also want to find out about these FUNCARDS and how to program them etc.

If anyone can answer any of these questions PLEASE DO!
* Are all FUNCARDS Auto Updating or is that when the box has a net connection?
* How do you connect a funcard to a PC? Is it using a CAM and a PCMCIA slot?
* Do all cards fit all CAMS?

There seems to be a lot of variation in the things Iv been reading.
