Default cabling setup

I'm about to receive Virgin HD + box and require a little advice on the cabling between various boxes.

Equipment:

Virgin hd + box- presume at least 1 hdmi.
Panasonic px70 Tv - 2 hdmi/2 scarts/Component Video
Panasonic dmr ex75- 1 hdmi /2 scarts
Sony blu ray s370- hdmi/Component Video Output

Just wondering what is the best set up(ie inputs and outputs) and cables required etc.

Thanks.

For me, it'd be the BD player and V-Box that got the HDMI slots on the TV. That said, if you've not got any or a small amount of B-DVD discs then use component until you change the TV, which would allow whatever the DMR-EX75 is to use an HDMI port.

That said, of you do go this route, some of the B-DVD's might not play if they are looking to complete the HDCP chain, as you can't send that over component AFAIK.

Thanks Ray.
The DMR-EX75 is a dvd player/recorder which I could probaly lose due to the recording facility of the V box.

Or you could get a HDMI splitter, so you can have all three. But if not deffo give priority for the V-Box and BluRay for HDMI

The BD player and V+ both source high definition HD video. These should connect to the two HDMI-inputs of the TV.
The DVD recorder can only deal in standard definition SD video. Its output will not suffer by being connected by scart cable to the TVs scart1 input. You could also connect the DVD recorders second scart to the scart-out of the V+ box to archive SD video to DVD.
