Hey guys, just moved to Australia and thought i would take my trusty eurovox 5000 to try my luck to see if it could work in oz, basic scans of normal TV doesn't find anything yet so i thought i would cast the net to see if anyone has played around with these in oz yet?
Any help would be greatly appeciated as usual! |

I would suspect the image would need slightly tweaking as well on the network providers side... seeing as I assume they use different providers there. |

As Foxtel in Oz is owned by Murdoch, all the boxes (certainly in Perth) are re-branded Pace manufactured Sky Boxes (Sky+, SkyHD), so I guess the encryption will be similar to Sky UK. Some areas are satellite, and some are cable however

Thanks for the replies guys, tried plugging up the box to a live operating foxtel (cable) connection here in oz, and received 6 TP's but when i went to scan the TP's for channels nothing came up, i tried adjusting QAM & Mbaud rates but didn't work still - so am a little curious now that the EV picked up the TP's but didn't scramble channels from them??
I have heard that if you have a non "live" feed into your house here in oz and you plug in a "live" box into your non live feed it will actually work which would mean that in theory EV box should work? Any thoughts? I have to say to the real techies on here, if this can be cracked here in oz, the business opportunity for EV boxes will be unbelievable!? Kegnkiwi - would you mind PM'ing me to explain tit3 card in more detail? |

Foxtel cable and sat systems down under both use nds i believe so ev's and any other boxes used here will be useless and fyi there is already a large cardsharing community already established if you want to look into that. And whoever told you plugging a box into a non live feed and it would work is seriously needing to give up the drugs m8...
