Default Wireless

I just wondered if it is safe to connect my router to my nice new modem, which I got working today?

Does this make it easier to be detected or anything?

Yes, just don't use a mac address on your router if it has been connected to a legit modem - you should be able to change the routers mac from it's http control panel

The router is one I bought from another company, not from provider. It has been used at an old address but not at this one?

Is that ok

That should not be a problem. If you are unsure, then contact the company you bought the route from and they should be able to tell you anything that you would need to check.
