Hi

Yeh they can be repaired, Ive done a couple in a different way but you will need to get the following:

F Connector Chassis Socket
only £0.99
Order Code: FE98G

You`l need to solder. There should be a few posts on this, a search will bring up some results.

Regards

Forgot to tell him to go to maplins mate

F Connector Chassis Socket : F-Type Connectors : Maplin

Nice easy fix as yusuf_gaz mentioned , Just requires basic soldering skills

Yusuf and G77 seem to be good with their soldering. I probably could, but my soldering isnt the best. Lets say its OK for Jtagging, but not much else(as I need a lot more practise)

see how when i offer dbox flashing as a service to people that cant/wont do it themselves i get slated yet someone asks for soldering doing and willing to pay and no one bats an eyelid.

would that not fit into making money when its possible for the op to do it themselves?

bit of hypocrasy going on here i think.

soldering is more skill than knowledge. I myself would attempt a solder job, but I wouldnt touch a PSU

you cant read on how to solder, as its a skill, but you can read how to FTP etc...

I myself dont particularly like code, but I think Ill start to learn more HTML lol

i didnt see any tuts on how to solder on this forum but if the guy checked out youtube he would find guides on soldering etc so him saying he would buy anyone that did it for him a drink means he is asking for a service.
the people that asked me to flash their dbox had access tot he guides that were posted here and on the net and they also had access to the images and they owned a pc.
i know the dbox scene is just about over but i want it known i supplied a service for which the girls on here got into a strop.
people were more than willing to pay for the service and they are still asking!
same as the op asking to pay for something he cant do himself.

i just wanted my 2 pence worth lol !!

regards dave
