Default factory settings tut for dbox2

Hi folks, a friend of mine gave me her dbox to have a look at, she has been playing around with it and now has multiple chanels ie, 10 bbc1's 8 sky1's etc, and she has lost a few of her other chanels, i have a digivox and can do a factory reset and then add code rescan and im done, is there a similar thing that can b done with this box, checked a couple of tuts but its mainly for flashig etc, dont want to go down that route as iv'e never tried a dbox b4, so it would be a last resort, any help would b much appreciated, thanks

Hi when virmin done there new thing the other month, when you do a scan on the dbox you get dozens of these extra channels, i put them in a order after a scan, done a backup and read from the box then tranfered it to my mates dbox which all works great now, but now this depends on what part of this country your from, im in bristol so service and bouquet will be dif,, have a look around there may be some one in your area who will send you then details of how do, theres plenty of info about on how to on the dbox 2,, wont be long be all the boxs are just door stops till the n3 can be sorted, if it could, and many thks to all techs ppl who gave us so much of info on the dbox for many years , cheers all, now as a joke get your ass into gear and sort n3 plz,lol

go throug the channels using the onboard channel editor... using the remote.

go through the menus to find the bouquet editor.

delete any unwanted channels... but make a note the channels that are duplicated are not always the ones that show the actual channel some are blank some are ok so make sure you work out which you are deleting and that they are blanks...

its easy to mess it up!

save a copy of the image after deleting the channels and setting it up how you like it!

all the info in on this forum here and there..

regards dave
