Red face DBOX2 help with sockets

Hi,

I'm new to this site but i think that everybody gives really great advice! I'm now in need of some if someone can help me out.

I currently have cable and have 2 sockets that come into my house. 1 socket is downstairs where my cable box is plugged in, and the other is upstairs in 1 of the bedrooms. I was thinking about getting a Dbox2 for upstairs and wondered if i would be able to plug it straight into the cable socket that is upstairs, or if I would have to split the feed from downstairs to run the cable upto the other room?

The 2 sockets are connected to the same brown box outside, so i wondered if they would both already work without me having to run cables all over the house.

Any help would be great!

So long as the upstairs socket is still connected - you can plug into that.
