oh yes you can buy a wifi bridge if you want, however I bought an ISR, and we're likely going to have two receivers to connect to, making the ISR more economical(though expensive for a second hand model, but this is Linksys lol)
If you ask on the ddwrt forums, there may be other routers that you can modify with ddwrt at a cheaper price

I have a wifi bridge with the kv and I connector, the wi fi bridge is about £30 or maybe a bit more the wi bridge goes into the back of the kv, it comes complete with an ethernet connection, that goes into the back of the i connector, it works well wth the 750 i don't know how it works with the 780 that does not need an I connector it is proably something similar

Well, the cheapest way forwards is to use a DIR-615 and to modify it with DD-WRT(the latest version is awesome!), so it acts as a repeater bridge(no client bridge available yet unfortunately), connect it to your receiver and you have 4/5(depending on how you configure it) switches to play with
Also, the A780 has an iconnector built in, so that's how it would connect to a bridge. Of course, the most secure, and most reliable, but most expensive method would be to use home plugs. If you've got wireless enabled devices in the house, there's not much point, as you'll likely be using wireless on devices such as laptops, mobile phones etc... For devices like stand along computers, receivers, gaming(definitely for gaming), then you are best off using home plugs over any thing else
