new to the sat forum was cable so still a newbie to sat

Just a quick question

I have a old sky digi box with card and can get about 200 channels fta

if i was to buy a sky+ box off fleabay with a viewing card would i be able to use the record feature on it (on th fta channels)

No, recording requires an active subscription to Sky.

what about the sky hd boxes do you get some fta hd channels

Not got a Sky HD box myself, buy I belive you should get BBC HD, ITV hD, and lux TV HD, and with a freesatfromsky card Ch4 HD ( I used to get it with the card in my TM6800HD, before card swap)

I have a Sky HD box and doesnt have a card but I do get ITV HD and BBC HD without the card... CH4 HD well that will work with a card I assume.
