Can you be a bit more specific here as have no idea what to search for!

spoke to virgin and they will charge fee of £84 installation and box fee then £5.50 month.....no appointments until July cos of world cup....

right basically.. there 4 boxes which do the job

Kryptview A750 + iconnector and a Kryptview A780 which doesnt need the iconnector add on

This only works in the UK and the server has no time limit.

Starview 6 and Combo are another 2 boxes which work both in UK and Ireland

Both boxes will only work for 12 months from what I have heard... However unless they decide to publish the new files then that remains to be seen otherwise u will be forced to buy a new Box

Combo works on the sat and cable side.

for this method to work u will need an active internet connection 24/7 which is reliable of course... you loose internet connectivity then u lose channels as well

No one knows how long this methods will last but for now this is the only solution to go by.

Default Re: Virgin Box - a scond box with no card?

thanks for that but i guess that means buying another box at a cost ....?

if there's no guarentee they will continue to work then it probably makes sense to go Virgin official in the long term...

however as in the shorterm they have no appointments.....after the workd bup my need will probably disappear in the longterm!!

appreciate all your thoughts, might just stick it on an ariel with freeview for time being!!

cheers everyone!

A Kryptview and I Connector will cost you nearly £200.00.

seeing as you already have Virgin you are only looking at £6.00 a month for an extra box, plus you dont have all the hassel that goes with it

The answer is no. Your card is paired to your box only and will not decrypt in any other box !

Also, if the V+ box hasn't had talkback disabled, it will call home & a very nice VM rep will call on you !
