Default Photo Printers

What are some of the better quality photo printers that are out on the market right now? Everyone I know turns to either Kodak or HP, but I'm sure there could be better options.

epson r300 range and above are pretty good for the money...6 colors... cheap to replace cartridges with generic ones...photo quality quite good

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm easily annoyed by cartridge prices, so I'm glad to hear that the epson ones can be replaced with generics!

You know I bought one of these printers and to be honest I have found it just as cheap to take them and get them done somewhere. By the time you buy the ink and the paper it can get quite exspensive. They are nice though I just don't think I use mine enough to really justify having gotten it.

I always thought they were good for convenience, though. I'm originally from a smaller town, and there still aren't many digital photo processing centers very close by. I think the closest place is a good 20 minutes away.

Yes, they are very good especially if you don't live where you can get them done somewhere easily. I mean we do use ours just not as much as I thought we would before we bought it.
