Exclamation Why are suppliers still selling inactive boxes?

Cannot believe that some suppliers are still selling inactive boxes, have they not took enough money over the years for supplying dodge boxes....Surely they should now take a hit in terms of over stocking, lets face it if they never knew NAG3 was not coming they must have been on a different planet! Or is it in fact just another way of ripping off POTENTIAL REPEAT customers...Rant over soz if offended xx

I believe they still selling this boxes because as far they concerned is that they are selling them as FTA meaning that they dont know or care anything in regards with N3 and its roll out.

So in simple terms they have nothing to stop by not selling and also not to mention that they have back stock which means they need to get rid of them.

technically they not riping anyone off because when you or anyone else that buys a box you are buying that box as a FTA and are going to use it as a FTA which means that anything you do after you have bought that box it becomes your responsibilty and they cant be held responsible for your actions.

If the buyers have researched the product they are buying then they too would be fully aware of N3.

I believe that any boxes sold now at this late stage are sold as FTA. If someone chooses to buy a box believing that it can be used for other purposes then maybe they should have done a little more reading.

As you say "if they never knew NAG3 was not coming they must have been on a different planet".

Regards

Kerry

For info, it was not me who bought off them, I keep well read, but not all can, I heard from a contact sooo many people are just trying to replace their old boxes thinking they will get the same service.
For me this is taking advantage at the prices charged! I have the new KV & love it!

Surely it would be in the traders best interest to advise accordingly i.e a disclaimer stating that "in no way these boxes can be adapted to received illegal channels"-But of course they wont, they have no business foresight, again as stated- losing potential customers!!

most sellers have a term of use and it will state that and if i am selling a box and i have given you information about the box and if it is stated Free to Air only then the customer needs to do more research. The sellers cannot be at fault for that.

your bang on mate!!!!

just to add the only reason these boxes are legal to sell is because they been sold as FTA. Also I have seen a few sellers in the past where they spefically note in there terms and conditions that the box comes with a FTA image and if this has been changed / modified in other sort of ways then your warranty is Void.
