List of Net Id's for Cable TV

I've been looking at all the lists but Icant find it.
I cant knock on some1's door asking to check their STB's.

To be honest, is it really necessary to jput NIDs in the box? I had one and simply did a power scan. Are you saying it is possible to chagne the NID number? You would only get what the local head-end sends out as far as I know.

As a newbie I am unsure what these Net ID's are for, I have a Eurovox V Max 2008. I now know it is a Cable receiver thanks to the help of you great guys on here. i have managed to set it up and now have 209 channels. I am based in Southampton, with NTL, do I need to know my Net ID and is it possible to get more channels? I am missing the true movie channel and others. I wish to learn as much as possible on this subject so any help and info is much appreciated.

Better if you do a power scan without SR and it will do it automatically. Set lower limit to 100 and top limit to 850. Set step to 8 That way you are bound to find all the channels. They vary depending which head end you are served by.

When you do this, all frequencies and SRs will appear one by one, then when that scan has finished the channels will start downloading frequency by frequency in the order they appeared in the first list. Should take about 10 minutes. The Net ID is not required for this.
