Default I took the plunge!!

Woooo!!
I finally took the plunge and got myself a macbook and it's the best thing i think i've ever bought. After a day or two of fumbling with OsX i'm converted. It all seems much more logical. Things that would take three or four steps with windows are done in one. I doubt i will ever own a windows computer again. (not while vista's still around anyway! *shudders*) I did find myself missing right click at first but theres no real need for it on a mac.

Anyone who's _THINKING_ of switching to mac, two words; DO IT!

I am debating about getting one when I get my tax return back. From everything I have seen and read it does sound like a very good product. Now if my money would just get here I would be set.

Oh no, stop tempting me! I was already leaning toward my next computer purchase (although still a few years away) possibly being a Mac, or more specifically a macbook. Glad to hear that you are enjoying it!

It has been so many years since I looked at a Mac, I can't even tell you why I decided against it. Maybe later this year I can take another look.

One of the things that kept me from getting a Mac a few years ago was the belief that the programs I was used to and wanted to run (Word, etc) didn't work and weren't available for Macs. This isn't always the case now, and the Mac has it's own nifty programs that I think are better than many Microsoft ones.

I'm finding that you dont need it as much as with windows programs anyway. all the buttons you need are right there on the screen. and if not ctrl click is hardly rocket science!

I actually learned computers on a mac, and it took me forever to get the hang of a pc. Now, I'm stuck on pcs. But, I'd switch back to a mac in a heartbeat, if my husband would allow me to.
