Dm boxes will not work on the cable side... On the sat side u will need to connect to someones server in order to obtain the channels. Otherwise u will only receive FTA channels on the sat Side. Its not as easy as that as you will need some computer skillz in regards to FTP and also a good understanding on transponders and so on.

thats right..lol but I assume he wants to go the sat side now and is obviously looking at how to obtain the channels via his Open media box

I stated all the info to him on Page 1 regarding which boxes will work and seeing as he has a Open media 500cs which is a dual tuner.

I am trying to flash and obtain channels for the Dreambox DM500s. Also can u guide me to a full tutorial on how to obtain a server if its possible online. I am pretty good with computers can u unadkat plz give me some knowledge about FTP and Transponders i will be grateful.

mate I cant give no server info as am very limited to what I can say on the forum and as far as FTP and transponders and so on well you will need to google it am afraid

u can use this site as a Guide: http://www.kingofsat.net

it tells which sat is sky uk on and so on

Its difficult to explain everything and it will take hrs and hrs to even write a guide on this.


use google mate and u shall find the answers you seeking.

The sat side was never going to be as easy as what cable is.



P.S: Just read one of the threads and Jimdefruit stated that there is a Dummies guide which I never knew about. Here is the guide which I think you should Read and follow it mate:

Nice post for a 1st post ... lmao

First of all I dont know why you would expect me to write a full guide on everything when its all posted in the forum.

Secondly... you assumed if I spoon fed you that you wont have to read anything in regards to what is posted in the forum. Everything is posted regarding what you need in terms of software and dummies guide in the same thread... if only you started reading it rather then asking to be spoon Fed.. life would be much easier mate.

Thirdly... I wont email you any guides seeing as everything is posted in this forum and all questions can be asked via posting in the relevant thread
