you should have got the battery out as soon as you could. you might have been able to save it then. if you've left the battery in it overnight when its been wet you've prob fried it

you might be lucky then.

after you've dried it off, i'd leave it in a warm dry place for a good two or three days before trying it again.

if it was just water well you'll be ok, if it was coffee you would have needed to dunk it in distilled water a good few times untill the water comig out of the phone ran clear.

i saw a guy on a stall once when he was given a mobile that had been swimming he took it apart used some lighter fluid and set it on fire...
after it cooled and he put it back together it worked fine...
ok im not saying burn it but take it somewhere they have a clue..

if you have a memory card in the phone maybe thats where the baby pics are?

regards dave

If its got wet already, then this i am about to tell you won't hurt,
please don't blame me if it dosen't try this at your own risk,
Apparently, if you drop it in "Distilled water" obviously without the parts that you can take off like battery and battery cover etc, and let it dry naturally, or slowly over a radiator (towel on radiator and leave it over the radiator) it is supposed to work!
It has something to do with the water being distilled already??
May be worth a try if you have nothing to lose, haven't tried it but have heard from several people that it is supposed to work,
Good Luck
