Hi, you can go for dreambox 500s without any hesitation, it has no any drawback or complain. It's too good to use.

As Robbo said there are good clones and bad clones personally i would stay away from 2 layer pcb units as they are more likely to develop problems as they are cheaper made and a lot of the time with 2nd rate components and weaker tuners. There are ways to tell but this usually involves opening the unit and thus voiding any warranty you have, ask the dealers as they should know what type units their selling and buy from trusted sources when possible.
