Default no transponder?

hi guys

Just mentally preparing myself to be "NAG'D"

Lost all my movie channels on the SL1000 so thought I'd do a factory reset and power scan to see if I could retrieve any. Tried both IDs 6952
and 6887. Did the whole power scan - at the end came up with the message No transponder to scan (or something similar). Now no channels whatsoever - That'll teach me for trying to mess around with it lol!

Any ideas? ID for Bromley (BR1) changed at all?

Thumbs up Re: no transponder?

sounds like there is an issue with the line itself

I would check all connectors and connections

And then test that box at another property with a cable connection.

Also remove any splitters from the line and use a direct feed

testing it at another property will tell you wether the box has gone dead on you or its the line

Most likely its the Line issue I would assume.

Also plug in the STB which VM have supplied you with and see if that is working.

cheers will give that a go now - minus the check at another property as they're all Murdochers round here

ok the ex 1000Sl there is an option called '' deep scan'' This option is used when no transponders are found

test it and see if that does the job

I'm wondering if it's a case of NAG3 finally hit. Had my new Vermin card a couple of weeks now and I know the end is nigh. But would this be the reason a transponder isn't found?

Nagra 3 will not stop you finding channels on your box, i'd say that your problem lies with either wrong settings on the box or a bad signal. Try scanning without any splitters inline and set your Net ID, Symbol Rate and Frequency as per your area.

have tried both the Vermin and ex-C & W IDs, removed splitter, unplugged box, rebooted, etc. Nothing is showing up. Was working fine last night, but when I went to rescan to see if I could get movies back that's when I lost it - haven't changed any settings since last night.

Ah well, I'll just have to make do with being NAG'd a little earlier than I thought . Cheers guys for your help.
