Record or room share kryptview a780

Ive searched and looked in loads of old forum posts but cant seem to find answers just had a look on ebay and it seems there is no way of setting the a780 up with a recording device, other than an expensive dvd recorded though scart, i also was looking for a magic eye type deivce so i could watch tv upstairs through the a780 downstairs.

With my old starview 4 i could just use my external hdd to record but this kryptview has no usb.

If you are able to record or room share with your kryptview a780 please share your knowledge, much appreciated.

i have also been looking into the issue of recording from the kv a780. I'm not top of the class with my computer knowledge but someone who is might be able to answer this question. i know a serial cables with a usb adapter can be used to send info to the kv. can this process work in reverse so the kv sends info to another device.? i know it wouldn't be plug and play but with the right software is this even feasible. any knowledge greatly appreciated.

with all tv companies offering record facilities on their boxes i think it would be great for kryptvie sales if a record function could be found for these boxes. Ive also looked for a device that could attach to the scart port at the back of the a780 a record but as yet, found nothing
