Just a little snippet. First of all, I know I've said I was scared of heights before. I was still a little queasy when I stood on the wall, and Im even more scared on a ladder
(and I never, ever use two hands when Im standing on something tall, which I didnt)Any way, I went outside to try and re-align my Sky minidish using an £8 sat finder kit. I took some extra RG6 wire outside, just to check whether the line itself was at fault I read the instructions on the sat finer kit, but I didnt get any where really, so I started to move the dish(after I got my compass out), when this man came up to me and asked me if I was installing for someone else I told them no. I probably wouldnt be able to do most installations,as Id get scared lol Any way, they were simply passing by and per chance they also asked me if I needed any help. I had been at the dish for about half an hour now, and I politely said "no thanks" They then told me it was free. I then again politely said "no thanks" They then saw that I was still struggling with my very low budget equipment, when they asked again, and I said oh right then Turns out that he had an expensive sat finder on him, and also a fold-able ladder in his car, so he started to align the dish properly We got chatting, and it turned out he knew nothing about computing, which was quite ironic as he likes satellites etc... Any way... He managed to get it aligned after a bit, and the receiver still could not find any channels. thats when he tested the extra cable that I had. It turned out that one end was not properly terminated(my bad), and obviously that was fixed The receiver was then working. As I felt quite bad, I told him that if you need a PC repairing, then Ill do it for you free of charge, considering you did this for free If he hadnt came along, I would have been at the dish for days, and I would only probably have had the right set up by chance He has expressed an interest in "ethernet" boxes, so I told him, and if he wants to continue, then its only the right thing for me to teach him about networking etc... considering the work he did I had my OM 500CS plugged in at the time All that remains, is for me to get a Cline , and Ill be able to assist

Yes it has unfortunately. My receiver wasnt powering it. I thought it may be a weak PSU in my OM 500CS, and I tried it with a Technomate as well, with no avail
It only works if I press the "reset" button, and even then only works for a little while, so not really worth going out, getting **** scared every time I go up, pressing the reset button, and bring the ladder back in Oh, and after doing some reading, Ive seen that adding a Cline is simple
