I have searched the internet and not found an answer anywhere, i have the above tv which is fine then all of a sudden get a blue tinted screen i can still see the picture but it's got a blue tint all over it also some things which are supposed to be white turns black.
When this happens i have to give it a bash then the colour returns back to normal any ideas? |

You haven't got the TV located near any magnets have you? Sometimes, magnets can cause the picture to become distorted or change colour.

Usually vai your PC/Laptop, check your instruction manual and go to the samsung web site,
samsung.com and click on the support option and downloads, type in your model number and you should find all the information you require. Last edited by Mickha; 20-06-10 at 10:20 AM. |

I tried to update my firmware but apparently they only broadcast it at certain times and as it's about 5 years old now there doesn't seem to be braodcasting the updates anymore, the only way to update is through an aerial as it doesn't have a usb port,

You could try contacting Samsung technical support but usually these companies just ask you to take it to a registered dealer, for repair, where it might cost more than the TV is worth, still worth trying.

Sounds more like a bad connection, might be worth laying carefully on a suitable surface, removing back cover and check all plug in board connections and ribbon cables are tight.

That seems to have done the trick i took it apart and re seated all the connectors and put it all back together and it's working fine even if i give it a technical tap the colour stays the same, though i did notice one of the capacitors seems to have blown (bulging at the top) i will keep you all posted on how it goes, thanks all for your help
