Default V+Box HD -Free TV??

Hi all. I bought a V+Box HD at a car boot fair this morning from some guy who does house clearance. I paid a fiver for it with the intention of grabbing the hard drive out of it for my sons PC. When I got it home I realised the card was still in the back, so out of curiosity I plugged it in to my cable and it seems to have all the TV channels on it. I only have a basic TV subscription myself, but this seems to be the full one. At first I thought it was a pirated or hacked box so I unplugged it, but after thinking about it, I looked at the back and the warrantee seal is still over the back. The viewing card looks legit, although a bit beat up... So what if some chav just got a council flat, bought a 50" Plasma and V+HD subscription on his credit card, couldn't afford to pay it off so he run off with the TV and left the box for house clearance??? (I know, I fantacise a bit ) Then maybe he forgot to cancel the V+HD subscription off his direct debit, so he's still paying for it? Would VM be able to track the box and check if the card is registered at my address? I suppose if SOMEBODY wasn't paying for it, they would block the card??? Any ideas????

it will only work until they send out your new smartcard for your other stb. if you insert the new smartcard into that v+ stb then it will automatically alert on the system and close down the card and the stb. prob give error code AP52 on the front or STOP if a samsung. If you then ring in to faults they will send a tech. tech will collect the V+ stb as all of the boxes are owned by VM and you do not have this logged on your account. hope your remote doesn't break as the call centre will not be able to order a v+ remote if you do not have the stb logged on the account. amongst other things
