Default Instant Messaging - AOL or Yahoo

Which of these two popular instant messaging services do you prefer?

For me, I like Yahoo Messenger better. No real reason, I suppose, other than I found it to be more reliable for me than AOL Messenger.

What do you guys think?

Personally, I only use IM when I absolutely have to. I pretty much hate it and find it sucks all my time away when I'm trying to work.

If I had to choose, I would say Yahoo. AOL drives me nuts.

LOL yeah, AOL Messenger and I never quite seemed to click.

And I have to admit, I am apparently a traditionalist. I am still running Yahoo Messenger 6.0 - all the functions on the newer versions just get in my way.

It has been a number of years since I tried MSN Messenger - actually it was way back when I was using MSN as my ISP. What is it like these days?

MSN Messenger isn't too bad...I had it a few months ago, but not many people I know use it so I got rid of it.

For the most part, I use AIM. I have an older version because I don't like the newer ones.

Most of the people online who I stay connected to have Yahoo Messenger, but I only turn it on when I know I need to get in contact with one of them.

Has anyone tried the Google messenger? If so, how does it work for you? I have an account there and am considering using it.

Very rare I use IM, but I do have Trillian installed - it connects to all major IM services in one simple client
