Eurovox Max3 Loading New Software - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Hi Guys
Sorry if I am sounding a bit thick..I want to load the latest software 19_02_2007 to my Eurovox which currantly has 20102006 on it. I have downloaded the latest software from the gmail file section, O.K. I have connected the RS232 CABLE from the PC to the BOX opened the dnupman loader firmwere clicked Browse to highlight 19_02_2007 powered up the box then click download, Then another box appears to make sure the that COM 1
is selected click START then i get a message reciever not detected and waiting for a response from your reciever...
Do I have to delete all my channels and clear date before loading software
also does the reciever need to be connected to the TV with scart and Cable.

Any help appreciated

The new max firmware is not backward compatable, it will only work with the red box eurovox which has a slightly different style tuner, hence a different tuner driver within the firmware. if you do manage to flash it to your box you will get a no signal message on your channels. Just stick to what you have for now m8.

I have the new flash on my box, it works fine. No signal issues at all. Im using BLUE_BOX_19_02_2007

didnt know there was a blue box f/w out can i have a copy please spud ? red box wont work though...

If you want to load the new software onto the bluebox,,do it with voxer.DnUpman wont do it..Also for anyone reading this...If you have a V1 eurovox with a strange error msg in the display,its because someone tried a V2/3 firmware..Voxer will let you reflash the V1 back onto it thus sorting it out..

It is on the Gmail drive..As eurovox max 231006.bin.
If you cant find it,pm me your email and I will send it to you..The feb file is the red box version and can be put on the blue box with Voxer..

OK I am gonna sound dumb, how can I tell if I have a blue or red box?

I mean my Eurovox Max is Grey with a silver front.

What colour was the cardboard box your eurovox came in? BLUE or RED!
