Adding satellite Technomate 6800HD

I have purchased Technomate 6800HD receiver but in the list of satellites it does not have Express AM1 satellite. The manual does not have instructions on how to manually add satellites - can you please advise how to do this. Also in terms of patching if I do patch the receiver will all the settings (satellite positions / channel lists) be retained or I need to save them first? Thanks in advance

My 6800super has 40E express AM1 in list, try loading latest sw. from technomate site. To add sat:menu > sat set up> find unamed sat (at end of list) green button to rename then add a transponder and save.
Its always best to save channel lists etc to usb stick before updating the software as you have to factory reset after updating.

Hi al, i'm thinking about buying a a 6800hd myself, just wondering what do you think of the receiver, what channels is it capable of getting etc. thanks worlass

It is capable of receiving all channels on all available satellites more or less.

But most of them will be encryped so they can't be watched without a subscription.
