Avoid the Thomson stb.
Pace is the most highly recommended for the fringe reception areas.
The Samsung seems to be gaining in popularity, but its still early days yet.
Best to activate the card in the UK.
It can be done easily in Spain,by blocking the CLI((in Spain, it's #31# followed by the number),or using a Royal Mail phonecard.

Thanks for the advice, I assume then that even with limited technical knowledge this should be relatively straight forward to link the card to the HD box?

Sorry to be a pain, but you don't know if there is a link anywhere to step by step instructions?

Thanks,
Iain Farr

Connect it to the phone line and you can do a manual call back

press services

then 4 system set up

then type 01 and press select

you have installer menu

press 6 new installation

and follow the onscreen instructions

If this still doesn't work, you will have to call Sky to activate the card.
