Am trying to extend my sky satellite cabling (only by a few feet). Bought the cabling and Co ax connectors. Created two new cables - one with co ax connectors at each end to connect to existing cable with co ax and sky box. The other with co ax at one end and f connector at the other (this was removed from end of existing cable and replaced with a co ax connector).
Have I done something wrong as I can't get a signal. |

You are better using F connectors everywhere. If using co-ax (TV) connectors, you need to make sure there is a good electrical connection. Make sure the braid is wrapped around the outer cable grip and gently squeeze the centre connector onto the centre core of the cable. Make sure there is no braid shorting out to the centre core.
