Hi there.

I have a Scientific Atlanta 2100 flashed with Haxorware 1.1 r39.

I have tried various MAC addresses and still have the same problem.
I am in an ex-telepest area using frequencies 323000000 and 299000000 (331000000 doesnt work).

The problem is, it boots up, goes through everything then gets to 'IP Complete' but never makes it to 'Operational'. it reverts back from 'IP Complete' to 'Ranging Complete' and i have no idea why.

Any ideas?

look in ur event log does it say dhcp offer sent not recieved

it will likely be clone detection, wot to do is turn ur modem off for just over 4 hours and then put it back on without the coax feed and change the mac and also the serial no. and then hit restart and plug the coax feed back in and it should come online but once it does dont reboot or turn off ur modem because it will likely go dead again, and give you the same fault. again.

so best advise is get it online and leave it

p.s the trick is to put a good mac in in the 1st place otherwise after 3 to 4 tries of unknown macs the same probem will occur and u will have to leave ur modem off again for a few hours and start again

it will work for both, but normally you can change the mac straight away when its ranging, but after 3 or 4 unsuccessful mac changes in a row you will find it goes to dhcp/offer sent/recived in the logs and so you gotta leave it off for a while.

fnr3master TRAIN HARD, FIGHT EASY Join Date: Apr 2008 Posts: 876 Thanks: 228 Thanked 200 Times in 177 Posts	Re: Scientific Atlanta gets to 'IP Complete' then goes back to 'Ranging Complete' it will likely be clone detection, wot to do is turn ur modem off for just over 4 hours and then put it back on without the coax feed and change the mac and also the serial no. and then hit restart and plug the coax feed back in and it should come online but once it does dont reboot or turn off ur modem because it will likely go dead again, and give you the same fault. again. so best advise is get it online and leave it p.s the trick is to put a good mac in in the 1st place otherwise after 3 to 4 tries of unknown macs the same probem will occur and u will have to leave ur modem off again for a few hours and start again Last edited by fnr3master; 05-07-10 at 06:36 PM.
