Question Deleting Channels From Dbox2

Hi,

I've recently got a Nokia Dbox2 and am delighted to have it all working perfectly. The only problem that i have is that i have been trying to delete the "channels of an adult nature" but i cannot do this? I know that there is a parental control facility to put a pin code on particular channels, but I still have the feeling that the kids might get to know this.

I have tried deleting the bouquets for these channels, but they keep coming back!

If anybody knows to delete them for good, I would be eternally gratefull.

You need a myservices file, you can either make one yourself, or download the Bouquet Wizzard that I've just put on the gmail and use that to generate a myservices.

You make it on the PC, for a novice it's easiest to use Bouquet wizzard.

Question Re: Deleting Channels From Dbox2

I have used Bouquet Wizzard to create a "MY Services" file to remove the adult channels. I exported the file to my Dbox from Bouquet Wizzard then switched the Dbox off then on again but the adult channels are still there.

Any idea what I am doing wrong.

Did you delete all the Adult channels, some of them have 3 or 4 entries in the EPG.

Your saying you can get to view adult and other pay per view stuff ?, are you on Virgin, if so how did you manage it ?

I see the names in my service m,enu but just no actual channels only the usual placeholder.

That myservices looks OK, did you reload channel list after you FTP'd it to the box?

I use mine to add some VOD Teleport channels, rename the Sky Movie channels and remove some of the spare BBC, ITV and Data channels

This is what mine looks like
