Talking new xbox 360 query

hi there, iam gonna buy the new xbox 360, but was wondering if the av port is the same on the new one, as i have a hd projector but it does not have a hdmi connection so i currenlty use the xbox av composite hd cable and plug all 6 plug connectors into it. but i noticed with the new one for sale it only comes with a standard av cable. so i just wanted to know if its the same fitting going into the console, so i can keep my current cable, instead of selling it with my current xbox

also the built in wireless on the console now runs on 802.11n but my current router runs on b and g, so would the new xbox have some backwards compatibility so it will work on b and g or will i have to spend more money and buy a new router

got my new xbox yesterday and had to return it 2day due to a faulty control pad, and they just swapped the lot console, pad, etc etc so all good there.

1st thoughts iam glad of the bigger 250gb hd as my older 20gb just did't cut it.

the unit does run a lot more silent

touch power and eject buttons are nice (although the power button seems a bit over senstive at times)

built in wireless connected with good signal levels at 2 different locations for me on the g band no problems.

the rest its like a normal xbox 360 in terms of function and running etc, and hopefully no more fooking rrod EVER lol.

my only gripe with it is it is a major dust and finger smudge magnet. i clean the 1st console i took back with a soft lint free cloth and a light smear of mr sheen and i noticed it left small swirls of light scratches. so i dont know wot to try to clean it in the future, it could of done with some sort of anti static coating on the plastics to reduce the dust.

overall iam happy with it so far but will see wot its like when the kinect comes out for it.

It almost matches the PS3 now lol (built in Wi-Fi, glossy finish, touch-sensitive buttons etc). It's just the hardware that's different.

yeh i think the ps3 is a good all rounder because of its multi media storage side of things, but i think the xbox is better on the gaming side and xbox live is better on a whole when it comes to voice chat, messages etc etc.

after using the ps3 for a good 6 months solid now. going back to xbox i still think the xbox is a better gaming machine, only thing i noticed was the weight of the xbox pad after using the ps3 one.

but its all down to personal choice really

If one of my mates offered me a swap of their PS3, games and a couple of controlles for my JTagged XBox 360 I would say yes. I recently sold my PS3 as I needed the cash but I would pick the PS3 over the XBox 360 any day. Mainly because I loved playing Heavy Rain and the online play is free.
