Hi

I think its best you fone VM and tell em to sort out the problem your having with the recording issue.

After all its there set top box so they should be your first point of contact in my opinion.

if it is giving error 2052 or most of your recordings are failing then they will want to reformat the HD. that a conversation with the offshore team in Bangalore. but this is a temporary fix as it will happen again in about 5 to 6 months time. when it happens then they will send a tech to change the stb for a new one!!!

just had the engineer out today and he spent about two hours trying to figure out why i had such a week signal and after testing he found that the cable running from the livingroom to my bedroom was faulty so were waiting for a call to set a date for the install guys to rewire the whole house. Also, the actual Samsung V+ was found to be faulty so im back to a SA-8300. the guy told me that there was a faulty batch of sammy's sent to them (over 100,000) so virgin are only shipping the 8300 now. pitty, the sammy is a far better box.
