Hi there.
My name is Jackie and I am in need of some assistance. I am new to all this, so forgive me if i ask some stupid questions. I have a Euro-Vox DVB-XC box and have seem to have lost most of the chanels, it keeps saying, service unknown. I am with Telewest, it seems to be the sky chanels that's gone. Can anyone help please? I have had my box a long time. |

Hi Jackie,
I have exactly the same problem - all s*y channels gone. I've tried a power rescan but with no luck. Did you get your channels back Jackie? If yes - how did you recover them. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks Allan |

theres no benefit to doing as manual scan on every freq within the installation menu rather than an autoscan. if anyone is having probs with no channels after a powerscan, its more likely to do with the fact that you are either not using the clear data option within the config menu to erase existing channels first, or you are not setting the proper symbol rate. When you press the yellow button for powerscan this will open another smaller window with the heading "full power scan". If you are on the T/W or ex c&w network press the OK button, if however you are on the NT! network you will have to highlight within the window the first entry for symbol rate, usually (6.952) and edit this to (6.887)then press OK.

Some ex nt! are on 6.952 as well, you should use the powerscan, but use full instead, This usually happens when you do a powerscan and it inserts a new band in the list. The software has a bug that doesn't use the frequencies, but the position in the table.
Best advice on this is (as said before) delete all channels and then do a full powerscan. Unfortunately this does mean a rearranging of channels - THE most boring job of the box setup. |
