ntl 2050 problem

Hi guys
wondering if anyone can help me with a problem
got an ntl 2050 that will work in the office but when I take it home to the house , it will not let me on the internet , can log into the modem and it says I am autherised to use the network , but no internet access?

hi m8 how far away from ur work do u live ? modem mite not work if ur too far away

I live about 5 miles away from my office, see the thing is it used to work fine, and cant see it being the mac address , as the modem has a built in gateway with room for 8 pc on it.

only thing I see on the log is somthing about

CableModem software upgrade failedMon Jul 12 07:49:08 2010 Mon Jul 12 07:49:08 2010 Error (4)SW upgrade Failed after download - SW File corruption

Due to the changes to the network many modems will now only work in the ubr where they're subbed to

oh well , looks like thats me done with cable then , no free internet and my cable card in the pc is losing tv channels by the day

looks like its back to the sat stuff for tv .
