Unhappy tm 500 remote log in help please

Im trying to log into my tm from a pc not on my network but not getting very far. This is what ive done ive logged into my router chose the ip of my stb and forward a port for that ip but when i enter the ip of my modem with the port number i just get page can not be displayed and its doing my head in lol.
please someone help me lol.

You need to forward port 80 for the web I/F and 21 for FTP. You can get help at portforward.com

Thanks for the advice Lincast you were spot on one thing tho it dont ask for any log in details it just goes straight to the page ?

try clearing the browser cache and reboot the box

The box use to ask for password then i downloaded the latest ur image via blue button not sure if it started then. I have cleared my browser catch on my pc and stil the same i got my m8 to enter in his browser and it also took him straight to the ur pannel ?

try changing the password in the box and see what happens then

log in using putty and do the following...

You may want to also forward ports 21 and 23 for FTP and Telnet, but then definitely change the password.
