1 box working 1 not !!!

Has anyone came across this recently ? I have 2 vermin box supers 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs both running off the same split cable,they have both lost channels recently but i have always been able to get them back by re-scanning however 2 days ago the upstairs box lost everything and i could not get anything back by re-scanning but the downstairs box remained the same with all channels working,last night i had another go at re-scanning the upstairs box and hey presto they all came back.I have just been upstairs to check it and hey presto they have all gone again and i have re-scanned on all providers ie ntl cw chorus etc,and nothing yet the box downstairs is working perfectly,never had this before,can anyone shed any light on this one please ?

have you tried swapping them over??

your boxes may look the same but be different on the inside ie they may well have different programms in them

right, just checked your previous posts... you live in leics, and have an sv3....does help!!!
have you got same s/ware on both boxes?? also, have you got the same providers on?

Sorry for the delay in replying,Boomer i am actually in Warwickshire about 20 miles from Leicester city centre,Coventry is a lot nearer to me and yes they are both box supers,they are normally tuned to ntl but when they go off and i go to re-scan them they are normally on tw,but i have tried to scan the upstairs one with every provider it comes up with but still to no avail,i just find it strange that they both have the same firmware on them and both run off the same cable and only 1 now works,i will try swapping them over later as suggested and see if that helps,thanks for the idea,will report back later.
